DESCRIPTION
The Kinetic Degradation Fluxion (KDF) Filter is a multi-purpose water filter cartridge that uses a combination of KDF plus granular activated carbon (GAC) filter media to reduce heavy metals such as aluminum, arsenic, mercury, cadmium, copper, iron, lead, and other water soluble heavy metals as well as particulates like sediment, dirt, rust, sand, silt, limescale, bacteria, algae, and more. The versatility and effectiveness of the Big Blue Whole House Systems makes it a popular whole house filter.
GAC Carbon filtration is the best form of filtration for chemical extraction due to the longer and more thorough contact time the water has with the carbon, which in turn provides an extremely comprehensive method of chemical removal.
Fits all standard 10″ big blue filter housing with easy installation/replacement.
